This year, Alban Arthan (Winter Solstice) is on Tuesday, December 21. Our ceremony and celebration take place on Saturday, December 18.
This ceremony is also in the midst of our celebrations of the winter season, and the gatherings afterward will focus on the theme set on Alban Arthan. Here is the agenda for our ceremony:
- Greeting and centering
- Full Alban Arthan ritual (including a meditation)
- Eisteddfod or topic discussion (tied to the season and/or discussion topic)
- Share a meal (along with discussion)
The ceremony will be held at Josh & Liza’s home. We will begin at 1:00 PM. Please contact Josh to discuss roles in the ceremony.
Sharing a meal is potluck style; coordinate with the organizer (Josh). Please make sure to let us know if there are dietary restrictions. While we socialize and share a meal after the ritual and eisteddfod, we will engage in our topic discussion. The topic for Alban Arthan is as follows:
The Prayer of Midwinter. What is one goal or plan you wish to work on this season? (The Celtic Spirit, Caitlin Matthews)
