This year, Alban Elfed (Autumnal Equinox) is on Wednesday, September 22. Our ceremony and celebration take place on Saturday, September 25.
This ceremony is also in the midst of our celebrations of the autumn season, and the gatherings afterward will focus on the theme set on Alban Elfed. Here is the agenda for our ceremony:
- Greeting and centering
- Full Alban Elfed ritual
- Eisteddfod or reflection (tied to the season and/or discussion topic)
- Share a meal (along with discussion)
- Topic discussion (see below)
The ceremony will be held at Josh & Liza’s home. We will begin at 12:00 PM, so to make sure all attendees arrive with ample time, feel free to come as early as 11:30 AM. Please contact Josh to discuss roles in the ceremony.
Sharing a meal is potluck style; coordinate with the organizer (Josh). Please make sure to let us know if there are dietary restrictions. While we socialize and share a meal after the ritual and eisteddfod, we will engage in our topic discussion. The topic for Alban Elfed is as follows:
The Prayer of the Autumn Equinox. What is one goal or plan you wish to work on this season? (The Celtic Spirit, Caitlin Matthews)
